Couldn't tell you the last time I wrote to another sportswriter to commend him on an article (other than friends and acquaintances), but this Pat Forde piece prompted me to do so. Just a nice job of capturing Walker; thought I'd share.

I know he lives in Evanston, but...

Got a thing in the mail today about my five-year NU reunion (I'm old). It lists the 2001 Reunion Committee. About three dozen names or so. Don't recognize any of them. But one.

Luke Donald.

That's cool. But really, what the hell is Luke doing on the reunion committee? Shouldn't he be golfing? Or swimming in his dollar-sign-shaped pool? Or diving in his 30-story Money Bin and doing the Scrooge McDuck backstroke through shiny gold coins?
